Bite-sized lessons designed to boost your students' confidence in math

Math for Breakfast is a skills focused program designed to help students stay sharp, strengthen core skills, and feel more confident with math. Each short class focuses on one specific skill area, allowing students to learn in a small group setting with direct instruction, hands-on activities, games, and movement-based practice.

The goal is not to pile on worksheets or homework. The goal is to help students better understand how math works, why it matters, and how to approach it with more confidence.

Why Parents Choose Math for Breakfast

Math support without taking over summer.

Math for Breakfast is built for families who want meaningful math support without long classes, homework battles, or a full summer school commitment.

It is a good fit for students who:

    • Need to stay sharp over summer

    • Are losing confidence in math

    • Need extra practice in one specific area

    • Benefit from hands-on learning

    • Need enrichment or a stronger foundation before fall

    • Do better with short, focused sessions

This is not designed for intensive one-on-one intervention, homework help, or students who do not yet have basic foundational skills, such as single-digit addition.

    Meet the Teacher

Led by highly experienced educator, Emily Small.

Math for Breakfast is led by a teacher with 20+ years of experience helping students understand math, stay engaged, and build confidence.

After years in the classroom and leading workshops, she has seen how quickly students can decide they are “just not good at math.” This workshop was created to help students rebuild confidence in a short, encouraging, hands-on format without turning summer into school.

Her approach focuses on real understanding first. Students do not just memorize steps. They learn how the math works, why it matters, and how to use strategies with more confidence.
